On 12-13 December 2012, ICOSH 2012 was organised by the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities of Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, Bangi, Selangor, MALAYSIA. It was a two-days event leading to Procedia proceedings and ISI WOK indexes. On the second day of the conference, I presented my paper entitled: Challenges of ICT Adoption by the High Courts of Malaysia. Essentially, I discussed that by adopting ICT, there are numerous challenges impacting the full implementation of the ICT systems and applications. The findings were derived from both secondary data (journal articles) as well as primary data (interviews conducted with judges, officers of the court, system developers, lawyers and litigants.
The research found that there are 3 major challenges facing the full implementation of ICT adoption by the High Courts of Malaysia: (1) changing the mindset of the users, (2) cost and budgeting aspects, and (3) various administrative changes. Some photos taken during the conference for memoir purposes.
