The Law Postgraduate Colloquium 2012 was held on 23 April 2012 at the Faculty of Law, UiTM Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia. I was among the 10 postgraduate researchers at the faculty who presented our research progress reports at the colloquium. The title of my paper was: “Legal Implications of ICT Adoption in the Civil Justice System of the High Courts of Malaysia: The Data Analysis Stage” where I focused my presentation on the data analysis process which I had undertaken relating to the interviews with 12 stakeholders of information involving my study. Since the study involved 2 stages i.e. collection of primary data (through interviews with 12 stakeholders) and collection of secondary data (through library based research), triangulation of the findings between the primary and secondary data is inevitable.
Overall, the colloquium was a great event as it brought together postgraduate researchers and qualified assessors of the faculty who are experts in their areas of law. Definitely the feedback given by the assessors were all taken positively and would be considered appropriately for my research.
