I presented a poster at the Asian Law Institute Conference 2010 at International Islamic University Malaysia on 25-26 May 2010. This is the first time I actually present part of my research with the intent to introduce myself to the industry and also to assess the feedback from the visitors to my poster. The title of the poster is ‘Courtroom Technology: Understanding its Concept and Applications’. The paper contains the conceptual framework for courtroom technology plus some information about the benefits and issues concerning technologies in the courts.
Despite a number of technical problems (e.g. late printing of the poster, list of poster presenters was not printed in the program book) I am glad with the outcome of the poster presentation. Researchers across many countries (the UK, Singapore, Korea, Indonesia, Australis etc.) stopped by my poster and expressed their interest in the concept paper. I now look forward to the next ASLI Conference 2011 in Kyoto, Japan.
